ZCD: Architects, Part 1 and Part 2 Architectural Assistants

ZCD Architects is looking for a qualified architect and part 1 and part 2 architectural assistants.

ZCD is an award winning design and engagement practice based in East London. We work at a variety of scales ranging from urban design and master planning, mixed used medium sized developments to smaller scale refurbishments and research projects.

Qualified Architect

This is an excellent apportunity to work on a variety projects at RIBA stages 0-7.

A sound knowledge of current architectural discourse and UK practice, construction and job running experience, design led technical skills as well as proficiency in English are essential. Working knowledge of Vectorworks and BIM are advantageous but not essential.

Salary range: £37,000 – £48,000 depending on the level of experience. 2 years minimum post part 3.

The position is for a permanent fulltime studio-based contract with some flexible working opportunities.

We are currently trialling a 9 day fortnight on full pay.

Part 2 Architectural Assistant

Applicants will be working on several  projects and gain broad experience.

A sound knowledge of current architectural discourse is desirable and proficiency in English is essential.

Excellent drawing and good model making and/ or 3D drawing skills needed. Good working knowledge of Vectorworks, Sketchup and the Adobe Suite as well as construction experience are advantageous but not essential.

Part 1 Architectural Assistant

Excellent drawing and good model making and/or 3D drawing skills needed. Applications from students in their second year out or with other work experience are encouraged. Working knowledge of Vectorworks, Sketchup and Adobe Suite is advantageous but not essential.

ZCD Architects – New Team Member: Masterplanning & Engagement

ZCD Architects would like to recruit a new team member to help with our child friendly urban design and engagement work. We are looking for someone with masterplanning, regeneration and engagement experience on major projects, who has worked with developers and/or local authorities. You will know about our work, enjoy thinking strategically and imaginatively and be good at listening and talking to residents and stakeholders.

You will have excellent skills in urban design, policy, report writing and bidding and have experience working with local communities. Previous engagement with young people is not essential but you will be ready and confident about working with this age group.

Graphic skills, Adobe suite and working knowledge of CAD are important.

Due to the nature of the work, there will be occasional evening and weekend work, for which you will be given time off in lieu. We will consider part time or flexible working hours applications. Salary will reflect your level of experience.
