The London Practice Forum was formed in 2018 by a group of leading London architectural practices. We came together with a shared interest in our city and its citizens, and to address what we considered to be fundamental challenges facing the industry such as the ongoing climate crisis, the profound lack of diversity within the architectural profession and the poor quality of many of the buildings produced by it.

We believe that through collective action, collaboration and mutual support we can have a positive effect on London’s built environment and improve the prospects for architects working in today’s challenging economic and social landscape.

The forum meets around six times each year and operates a number of programmes in the spirit of these ambitions. These include an inter-practice secondment scheme, where staff can choose to undertake temporary transfers between practices to assist with project resourcing; and the RE―SET―GO programme which has been set up to provide young people from under-represented backgrounds with experience and support as they set out on a career in architecture.
