Membership
- There is no limit to the number of member practices
- New members should receive a nomination from an existing member of the committee, to be seconded by a different committee member.
- Each member practice must commit to abide by the LPF Principles & Ethical Charter.
- Each member practice is obliged to keep their practice records updated on the LPF website.
Committee
- The committee comprises a single member from 15 of the LPF practices.
- Each member practice should nominate a single individual to represent it on the committee.
- Each committee member must be capable and empowered to make binding commitments on behalf of their practice.
- Where a committee member cannot attend a meeting, each practice may nominate an alternative attendee, although that person must also be able to make binding decisions on behalf of the practice.
- LPF meetings must have at least 10 attendees to be quorate.
Enforcement
- It is not reasonable to expect the LPF to monitor compliance with the Principles & Ethical Charter; members should be self-policing.
- However, in some cases an ongoing and persistent breach of the Charter may require a third party to report an infraction to other members of the LPF
